ICK ?

It appears that I have a case of Ick in my tank. My newly aquired rock beauty and my 2 year old mandarin seem to be getting a white fuzz on them(my clown is fine). How can I rid this without hurting my Gonipora?

white fuzz or white puffs kind of like cotton balls?

Some pics might help id this better. It could also be velvet from your description.

It looks like cotton on the Rock Beauty and almost like blisters on the Mandarin. I fed garlic soaked Cyclopese and Brine shrimp last nite and tonight. I also found out that my UV sterilizer wasn't working. I fixed that last nite and it does not seem to be getting any worse. Any Ideas?

I think if you had velvet things would be going downhill very quickly. Obviously it's some sort of infection...do you have a quarantine tank?

No Quarintine tank. But you can bet that's the next thing.

How are the fish doing? Are they eating? Are they breathing heavily?

Acting fine. Eating breathing and swimming normal!!

Sometimes these things go away by themselves. I just wouldn't count on it.
