Algae Problem

Has anyone seen algae that looks like green hair but it has no color or is light brown? .My tank has been set up for about 3 months and I have had the diatom and hair algae phase already. I thought the clear algae was the green hair dieing off but the new clear algae seems to be spreading. Any ideas??????

A pic would help. Try running a phosphate absorber for about a week, after a 30% or so water change. Also, pull out as much as you can by hand. Usually, if you're not pouring nutrients into the tank (by feeding flakes or other high poluting foods) a phosphate absorber will make a bloom crash.
