I am trying to experiment with growing marine macroalgae other then Caulerpa and the usual "stuff" in a refugium I have set up. For example. I have tried Ulva (didn't do well) and Sargassum weed (did a bit better for a while). Problem is, it is very hard to find much information on techniques, requirements etc for these things. Anyone know of any websites or books on the subject? Again, i am nOT interested in Caulerpa, too darn easy to grow and everyone does that. I want to be different.
I am particularly interested in techniques of propogation and "rooting". (Yeah, I know they aren't really roots, but you know what I mean). Also interested in lighting requirements including needed spectrum, and in temperature requirements.
