400 some for a single polyp? crazy. I've never paid more than $55 for a coral. But some people have higher incomes than others, what might be more accurate would be % of your disposable income that the coral cost you. Might find that some of these people paying $2000 for a ac lord colony might make a million a year, what is $2000 to them if they get a pretty coral that few people have? That $55 coral I bought was probably 10-15% of my disposable income that month.

I'm still going back and forth on it. It would be an incredible thing to have a colony of, and I could get the money back with a frag sold later on, but I could finish off the rest of the mini-reef with that money and not have to buy anything else...

I'll prolly end up not doing it, but I may place a bid when drunk this evening.

Dude, that's mega bank for ONE polyp! You probably could make your money back over time by fragging it out, but damn...

I find that I make most of my expensive coral/fish buying decisions after I'm fairly well sauced up too. :lol:

I've got a local shop here that's really into the lords stuff. He claims he can get rid of them for 300-400/polyp. I thought he was nuts until I saw this. Geese!
