My clownfish has been in QT for 2 weeks now. It developed lympho about 1 week ago, a small round spot on the side of its mouth. It just dropped off yesterday.

He has has 3 white dots on the tip of his dorsal fin. The dots are the first, last, and middle spine, at the very end. No other white spots on the fish. I remember at least one of the dots from day one. The others may or may not have been there. Again, no other signs of dots. They do not appear to be spreading.

Fins are not clamped. Fish is swimming and eating normally.

The other clownfish in the QT has no white dots, and is swimming and eating normally.

At first I thought the white dots were the continuation of color from its white stripe, which is located far enough back so as to be under part of its dorsal fin. But that would only explain the first dot, not the other two.

Any ideas what they are?

maybe the dots are sand or other particles stuck on the fishes fins. it happens to my purple tang all the time. it does not sound like it, it also does not sound like any parasite isopods too.

It does not appear to be sand. Fish is in a BB tank. They also seem too small to be isopods, and have no signs of any appendages. To be honest, it looks like an ich spot at the very tip of the fin, but it doesn't fall off or spread.
