I am designing my new tank and can't decide where I want the built-in overflow, in the center or in a corner. I would prefer it be in the center, but I worry that it would be hard to get to if there was ever a problem. Where do the rest of you prefer it?

as i recall you are doing a 90g?

i did mine in the center and often regret it.

originally i thought i would like it centered for multiple reasons... one being that i didn't want to see the internals of a corner overflow from the sides of the tank and also i thought i could hide the overflow better this way in the center... but the result is a need for a rock wall in the middle of the tank. there is limited depth of perception to build such a wall without it looking unnatural.
it really throws all my artistic mojo off.
sorry, but that is the best way to 'splain it.

something i like about it though that i wouldn't have ever considered is that with the corners free i can put a tunze stream in each and place them totally out of the way... i really am liking my new tunze 8)

On my 110 I had a corner overflow and I did not like it because you could see into it. On my 60 it is in the center back. It should not be a big deal since the tank is square. You could always put it 12" from one side or have 2 overflows 12" from each side.

Bingo,

Did you drill/cut your 20 yourself? I'd be interested in doing something similar to a 29 I'm starting but don't know where to begin.
