My honey isn't into fish, but you should hear some of the comments made about new purchases!!! "That thing shouldn't exist" or "That is the ugliest thing alive." He's always curious about new arrivals and I've never heard him complain about the tanks or the expenses of the tank. But then again, he doesn't ask so I don't tell him!!! 8O

His hobbies (note: that's plural) are way more expensive than the tanks (note: that's plural also) so I don't feel too bad about what I've put into them.

I keep telling him he hasn't bought any kites lately!!!!!

But I will let you in on a secret. He has a kite fund. He keeps cash out of the deposits he makes into the checking account and staches it away, so that most of what he buys is cash and not on the cc. No cash, no purchases. I do the same with the tanks.

Thats funny, I have a "marijuana" fund for the same reason, yet it magically appears every party we have or when the kids arent at the house or she works late lol...

I prefer it that my hubby has his own interests....his computer is a thing to behold. I think it even makes toast :lol: But it doesn't work when too many people have a say in what happens in a tank. I've seen bad things happen to others...as in "hey honey, check this out, the guy at the LFS said it was reef safe!!" 8O Yeah....okay. Now try removing that "reef-safe" bicolor blenny :twisted: :twisted: Or "I decided to add this anemone....gee, I wonder where it went..."

Even at work. No one touches my tanks there, either. Smart.
