Hey Southern Californians, where do you get your CO2 tanks filled? I'm trying to find a reliable, honest source.

Hey Len,

I have found places like Airgas/welding supply places to be reliable and honest. They usually swap out tanks instead of refilling, but thats no biggie. Other places, like brewery supply places have been very inconsistent in availability and sometimes they just close.

Sorry I don't have specifics for the southland.

:D

Where in So Cal? If you live near Northridge there is a place called Brew Wizards located at 18228 Parthenia St, Northridge, CA 91325. I hope this helps.

I'm in the San Gabriel area most of the time, though sometimes out on the westside. Thanks for the recommendation :)

Local welding shop. They let me keep my gas tank, and never have to wait more than 10 minutes. One time they overfilled mine (bonus for regular customer? :?) and it bursted while I was getting home on the highway. I thought someone shoot a gun at me (not surprising consider how I drive).

Man that would have scared the crap out of me, do these tanks have burst valve like scuba tanks or the the it burst somewhere else?

I think the AGS regulation says that all most fitted with a 1k PSI relief valve.
