TurboFloater help - New Tank

I help set up my brothers 55 gal tank over the weekend.... by advice of the lfs, he used Stress Coat and tap water.

I suggested RO water instead, but........

Now the turbofloater is pushing clean water through the riser tube constantly - it fills the cup in a minute or less.


He put the air tubing in the water, which slows the flow some, and it doesn't overflow......I told him to leave it like that so it would break in a little.


Well its been four or five days, and its still filling the cup.....I would guess its from the Stress Coat..... is there anyway to pull that stuff out of the water ---Carbon??!!

I would presume the skimmer is pulling it out.

Have you adjusted the two little black things to full open?

Both Valves are all the way out.
