OK,

Before installing the new DI catridges last night I tested the water again. Its now gone from bad to horrible.

Tap - 350
After RO - 60
After the existing double DI that is burned up 68.

OK, I know the DI is spent but the RO membrane should be better.

I have an aquatic reef systems 75 GPD system.

Can someone recommend me a new RO membrane? I do have high silicates as well.

Thanks

The membranes from Spectrapure always worked well for me, but then again, that is who my RO/DI system is made by.

they were changed about 4 months ago. There was reports in my area of elevated chlorine levels about a month and a half ago.

I have ordered new sediment and carbon filters as well.

I just need a new RO membrane.

In reading Spectrapures site, each membrane has to matched up with a specific flow restrictor.

Maybe I should just get a new system?

The flow restrictor is just a small piece of plastic that goes at the top of output line. It is only about $4 if you need one to match your membrane.

In the output of the waste water I believe is where it goes, not hte out put of the good water?

Where did you get your bulk DI resin?

I ordered the resin from Buckeye feild supply.

Aquaticreefsystems does not mention a flow restrictor. The Spectrapure does.

On my unit I have an adjustable valve on my waste line. Is that their fversion of a flow restrictor?

That membrane should work just fine. It sounds like you have an adjustable flow restrictor on your unit. That could be the problem if the flow isnt adjusted correctly for the membrane that you have now.
