I know it does not look the greatest but I think it will work. Let me know what you think. I am checking the tank for leaks right now but I will take some other pictures when I drain it.

It looks fine but I have a couple questions. The compartment to the right, is that were the water from the tank is going to enter? Also where do you plan on having the skimmer, in the middle or one of the compartments?

If I'm looking at it right the water would enter into the right, where the skimmer would be, and then go through the 3 baffles into the middle section, where you may have a refug. The return pump would be in the section on the left. If that's the case you want to place one more baffle in the last compartment. You want that baffle to be slight raised which would create another bubble trap. This will cut down on micro bubbles before the return pump.

You have it right, the water would enter on the right were the skimmer will also be go thru the baffles, hit the refuge and go far left to be pump back in the tank. So adding another baffle would help with the bubbles?

Yes it would. Without it the water would fall over the last baffle, and since the compartment isn't filled, it would create a wall fall where you would get bubbles. The return pump would suck them up and you would have micro bubble in your tank. By putting another raise baffle you would create another bubble trap which would eliminate a lot of the bubbles.

I would just turn the sump 180 degrees. As mentioned, you always want your return to be after the "over, under, over" baffles. Having your skimmer in the same section as your drain is spot on! Having some bubbles in your fuge area is no big deal.
