A local store around me is selling there left over "store use" salt that they get directly from the manufacturer, i guess for wholesale price. It is Instant Ocean. Do you think that that Instant Ocean's salt they make and bag as "store use" is as good as the regular stuff we can buy at stores. I mean for all i know the only difference may be the bag, but i was wondering if anybody knew one way or another. its a good deal so i'm hoping somebody will be able to tell me!

I bet they just package it "bulk" style for the store, without any fancy logos on the packaging, so it's slightly cheaper.

Most of the cost of salt is the shipping and handling, so if they use a 55 gal drum instead of fancy bags that needed to be filled to 20 lbs +/- 0.2 lb, that will be a lot cheaper. I don't feel they will use different formulation since it would cost more money to keep track.
