Peter, a 25A circuit will be more then plenty for a 70G with two 250W and other misc lighting and pumps. A standard 15A would actually suffice.

If it were me I'd put it on 2 circuits for redundancy just in case something blows you don't lose the whole tank. Have pumps and lights on both circuits.

I'd do what davidmorh said. That redundancy is nice. Though Len is probably correct, that you could get away with a single 15A circuit.

My 20 with a 150 halide is on the same circuit as my bedroom and the living room. No problems.

You could always add up the wattage of all the equipment you plan on using, and do the math

watts=Volts (120) * amps

or

watts / volts (120) = amps

250 + 250 /120= 4.16 amps for your lights. (but remembe they draw more power when they first come on. so figure around 5.5 - 6 just to be safe)
