i did have a fuge at first... thought i needed one... i had some grape calurpa in there, never did realy do good dident grow all that well, i tore it out about 6 months after starting my tank. it dident seem to make any diference except it was disgusting to look at

Tap water in Ottawa, Canada is 45-60 TDS, mostly 52ish. I get 0 TDS after RO/DI. (They also use chloramine instead of chlorine, if that makes a difference...) I started my 29gal w/tap water, and I went through most of the algea phases, they cleared up once i bought the RO/DI unit. What's the max TDS most tanks can tolerate?
