I have what I believe to be a green BTA. However, I have doubts - is it really a BTA? It doesn't look like other people's BTA. I have a pair of true ocellaris hosting in it.

If it is a BTA, why doesn't it look like a normal BTA? Most of the time it has a large face with rather smallish tentacles...

You don't ID anemones by only their tentacles but also by their base and oral disk. What color is the column and is it smooth or rough; how is the base attached in the tank; what color is the oral disk in comparison to the tentacles?
From your 2 pictures it does look like an E. quad.

I think it looks like an E. quad too--with some funky tentacles. I've seen both the normal and rose bulbs get tentacles like this in captivity for no reason I could even guess. Maybe lighting, current issues?

Looks like a BTA IMO. How long have you had it?

If it is new it just may need more time to adjust.

OK, then it's probably a BTA (they guy that traded me told me it's a BTA). It splited twice (I have the two clones in my fuge). I have it since last February or so. It deflates to almost nothing every 10-15 days or so, then it inflates back up the next day like nothing happened.

It was in three (quite different) places in the tank and the clones are in the fuge in two places. None of them look like normal BTAs so I doubt that it's the lighning or the flow. I'll try to get pics of the mouth and base (the base is zooxanthellae-cream, smooth and attached in the shade of a LR, the mouth is the same color as the rest of the body).

So far you're describing the characteristics of an E. quad.

not sure on the ID but BTW The flow that anenome is recieving appears to be not enough.

Looks like a BTA that is either irritated by the clowns, not receiving enough light or current or a combination of the three.

OK, I'll try to do something about the flow and light - it would break my heart to take it away from the clowns - they simply adore it.
