I bought one of those ABS float valves and just drilled a whole though my water container and it fit right in. The drill bit I had was a tad too small, but I just wallowed it out a bit.

Thanks Len, that looks right - the price is not outrageous either (I found others on USPlastic website of a few hundreds each).

Thanks,
M.

Get the one from US plastics, then go to the home improvment store of your chooise and get a nylon bolt and nut or nylon pin to replace the stainless pin.

I thought about that (actually US plastics sells the bolts and nuts too), but it is unclear to me if it's only the bolt and nut or some other components inside the valve (that you cannot readily see)... If it's only the bolt and nut - heck, I can even glue them (I don't need to adjust them).

Do you know anybody that has those US plastics valves?
Thanks,
Mihai

Just checked Premium Aquatics - they also carry the Kent ABS float valves. They also have something from SpectraPure that is cheaper ($11), but it's stainless steel...

The one I got from aquatico is a Kent float valve. It actually comes with everthing you need to connect to 1/4" RO line.

Here's a picture of mine.

Looks like Marine Depot is cheaper.

You could thread it into a bulkhead if you can't drill whatever you are installing it in. You'd have to use a reducing fitting most likely, but it would work.

What is your application?

Thanks, I'll probably go with the ABS float valves. I'm doing an auto top-off, (2 valves right there), one to fill the water change container, one under the kitchen sink, etc.
