So I hear water "running" in my garage where I have a few tanks........ I walk over to see what is going on and H@LY SH$T, water is spewing from a rubbermaid container which holds a 30 gallon batch of brand new saltwater I finished making just minutes before! I start to panic b/c it is 3am and then I realize that I am $()@!ed. I transfer several gallons and thenstart chewing on some gum... It actually worked!!! All those years of watching MacGyver reruns finally paid off. I chew and chew until there is no flavor left and then stick the gum into the water and "patch" the hole. The water stopped long enough for me to patch the hole with pvc glue (from the outside). It worked and after making several water changes I took some pics of my work.

I know this is not a real big deal but everyone needs a laugh now and then.

Heck no! He has the gum in place and the outside is hit with PVC glue. All he has to do is slap a few strips of duct tape on it and BAMO! Good as new. :D

That is the 2nd blue rubbermaid can that has "sprung a leak" on me!
The last time I was at work and when I got home 30 gallons of saltwater was draining out of my garage. Needless to say I will not get another blue can.

We use the "brute" line, and have never had that problem with our trash cans for storing water.

The grey can next to the blue has been in service for just over three years and I have never had a problem. It is also rubbermaid but I cant find that kind around here anymore.
