Need a little help with hydrodynamics.

Planning a new system with basement sump, return pump looking towards Iwaki MD100RLT (output 1"MNPT). The tank will have 2-1" bulkheads at either end for return. Though house still needs to be completed, thinking worst case, runs would be 15' up, 20' across.

Played with different head loss calculators but not sure how to factor in the bulkheads and pipe size together.

Wondering how to figure flow (or would there even be an advantage) if increasing the pipe diameter right at the pump to 2", doing my vertical and horizantal runs, just below the tank do a tee, then reduce down at bulkheads back to 1"?

Personally I would go with 1.5" all the way to the tank and then split to the two 1" lines.

IMO there won't be enough of a performance increase going from 1.5" to 2" to even notice so I wouldn't spend the extra money on the larger pipe/fittings. There should, however, be a significant improvement going from 1" to 1.5".

Any way to get a rough idea a flow.

I'm having 2-1" outlets (bulkhead size back into the tank), but main piping 1.5" do I just use 1.5" in the calculator?
