and it's killing me  . Today I was in a part of town I don't normally get to, and stopped by a LFS of rotten reputation because, well because you never know, right? Might get lucky.
Anyway, in one of the tanks that had and I am NOT KIDDING seahorses, a sand shark, gobies of some type, tons of adult brine shrimp and various hermit crabs I see growing out of the CC substrate some type of anemone/polyp that I have never seen before.
It was about the diameter of a ball point pen and similarly shaped, growing out of the substate 1.5 inches, a deep purple amost black color with a short fringe of tenticles around an oral opening. It had caught a brine shrimp and was stuffing it down so whatever it is, it eats. It didn't appear to have a skeleton at all.
The teens working there had no clue, go figure LOL. Anybody have any thoughts as to what it was? The tanks are all on a central system, so it could have settled there from another display tank.
