Decorative crab

I bought a nano tank for isolation but one thing led to another and now it's just a tank. Now I know to research before buying and I didn't. I did a terrible thing and committed an impulse buy of a decorative crab. Can someone tell me what they eat? They must not go by that common name because I can't find it on the net.

I assume you mean a decorator crab. I had one, they come to eat especially during the night and they eat meaty stuff (shrimp, squid, mysis). They also gather algae from the rocks and eat them. Just feed the tank a bit and he'll find it at night. Or, better, target feed. Good luck.

Do you have any idea where it is from, Caribbean or Indo-Pacific?
It probably is of either the genus Leptopisa or Camposcia, they are carnivorous, if starving they may kill smaller fish. Feed small shreds of shrimp, squid, eel, etc.
