Open Brain Feeding

Hello,
I have an open brain that used to take to feeding just fine. Lately I have not been successful in feeding it. I have tried scallops and shrimp by placing it near the mouth late at night when the feeding tentacles come out just like in the past. But now, the food just sits there and eventually falls off. What do I do? What do you guys feed your open brains?? Is there something I can do to entice it to eat. Please help, its starting to look very sick and skinny...

Does the coral appear healthy? Fully expanded? Good coloration and the like? If so maybe it simply isn't hungry.

No, coral is very scaly (i.e not meaty as it used to be) and is gradually getting worse. I have it sitting on the substrate in my 54g corner. The lighting is 250W 10 + 2x55 actinics. Water params ok as well...
