Any use wavemakers to control their powerheads? What brand/models do you use. I'm looking to pick on up and was wondering if anyone had any issues pros/cons to help me in my research. Thanks

People use various brands of wavemaker, but majority only use one or two different brands of powerhead for wavemaking. Most recommand Maxijet due to it durability in stop/start application.

I had a red sea wavemaker for a good while, I ran Maxijets on it.

The only issue I ever had was that sometimes the powerheads would chatter when they went on, but it didn't really bother me.

I've had the Natural Wave, Red Sea, and the out-of-production Ocean Motions wavemakers. They all worked equally well, with the latter two allowing for more programming modes.

Go with Maxijets. They're the most robust powerheads IME, small, elegant, and reliable.

I used a blueline Tsunami and I really liked it. I have it in a box somewhere. I should dig it up and sell it.

I've looked at this one before. Great price for sure. I'm actually trying to make my mind up as well.

I use the Natural Wave with 2xmaxijet 1200s. I plan on adding a maxijet 900.
