Like every good marine aquarist should do, I made my fish list at the beginning. It consisted of 1 Carpenter Flasher Wrasse, 2 Percs, and 1 Flame Angel. Well the wrasse lived great for about a month, but when I introduced the Percs they got ich and all three fish died. My tank sat dormant (except for cleanup crew which kinda died off but am somewhat replacing tomorow) for 6 weeks, and I did a no no. I made an "impulse" buy. I got a firefish without planning it out. Luckily, I have no regrets and really love the little guy. I'm kinda glad I'm getting to start over because I later realized my original plan called for 4 orange fish! They were all beautiful, but i went marine for variety! So anyways, right now I have the firefish, and I know I still want the flame angel. I would love any suggestions on what kind of fish I could keep with the firefish and angel. I really would like a Orchid Dottyback, but they will be too aggresive for the firefish, correct?

Are these fish going in the 46 gallon bowfront mentioned in your other posts?

BTW, I'll move this to the GRD where you might get more looks (I'll also leave a copy in the NRF).

i would get a yellow watchman goby and a pseudochromis to finish your livestock. the captive born orchid pseudochromis are suppose to be very tame, i think you should have no problems trying it in your tank.

I'd also consider either a small fairy wrasse (Cirrhilabrus sp.) or a small hogfish like the yellow candy hog. With a firefish, you should have your tank's top covered anyhow, so any other jumpers won't be an issue. In case you don't have the top of your tank fully enclused, make sure you do so. Firefish are known jumpers.

Thanks for the advice. I've been wanting some sort of goby. Is the watchman goby compatible with DSB, or will it eat all the good critters?

Wow the Red Parrot Fairy Wrasse is beautiful. How about the firefish, orchid dottyback, red parrot fairy, and flame?
