I'm planning a 180g

Can a dart be used for a closed loop? Can it pump enough pressure to handle 4 outputs for the closed loop?

Can a velocity/posieden handle the return from the overflows?



i've read that those 2 pumps are quiet... how quiet is the dart? is it actually silent?

Would those 2 pumps be too much for a 180?

Velocities are pressure rated pumps, I'm not sure what you mean by being able to handle the return from the overflows. I think you have it backwards. The overflow must be able to keep up with the pump, not the other way around. Think of the word "overflow" Its just that, as water is pumped into the tank, it is able to "overflow" down to the sump.

Closed loops have very little head pressure, any external pump should work just fine.

Velocity pumps add quite a bit of heat to the water, but they are silent as you can get.
