Hey everyone,
I was just offered a job in Orlando so looks like I'm movin! Now i need to get my tank in order and get it down here, but I really want to purchase the size I want. I'm looking for either a 30 or 60 cube, or anything in between, but I really like the cube idea. Anyone know of any decently priced places in Orlando for glass, stands and/or canopy's?

TIA!

Luis

I can not help you in Orlando, If you have to come further south, there are a few of us that live in south florida that might be able to help

Take a trip to the beach and stop by Aquamart. It is a mom and pops place that I used to get equipment from. They do not have a huge selection of livestock on display but can get you anything you want ordered. They usually have trade ins or know someone selling. They used to be on Garden street when I lived there, it is the same name though.

I dont really post (I like reading though)

In anycase... you would think orlando might have some decent shops...

well IMHO it sucks!

theres only a few places around here...

Ocean Blue (they recently moved right after the hurricanes) knowledable owner, some ok selection.. but as with most local shops the dry goods are $$$

A place called "The Aquarium" which is located out in the Apopka area... storefront stinks.. they have mostly gone to online inventory/orders.... I never saw anything in their tanks I would be willing to take for free let alone purchase :\

theres a few other small places around here but all in all I tend to find driving south towards the boca raton area better for selecting livestock...

I purchased an item on the recomendation of an employee. The item did not work. I looked online and found reviews that said the entire line does not work. I took it back as soon as possible, 10 days later. The owner refused to do anything because of a 7 day return policy. The store manager told me that this product has had "many complaints." The store manager challenged me to file a complaint, told me that I had no claim against him, cursed at me, got very mad, started to insult me in front of his customers and refused to give me his name. He gave me a store credit, which I accepted only after stating that it was not acceptable and that I would only take it to proove that I returned the item. Then I refused to leave until I got his name, so the store manager whispered to me that it was Fred.

I don't know anything about LFS's in Florida, but if you decide on a 30 cube, you can get an oceanic 30 pretty easily. The petsmart by me is selling them for $99. I don't typically like to support places like petsmart, but they are much better than petco and a few other places like that. The one by me doesnt carry saltwater live stock, and their FW stuff always looks clean and healthy. In my mind I would be okay buying them from time to time, but it's up to you. HTH

Eh, its been a year or so its Ive lived here and am good friends with those at Sea in the City and Ocean Blue. The best places in town IMHO, though Ocean Blue *can* do better, Sea in the City is hands down the finest LFS I've walked into for reef related animals.

just my updated dos centavos.

thanks.

oh and I ended up with a 65 megaflow and my 12 year old LTA and tomatoe clown are doing awesome in it.

I'm in orlando now and there are a few.

Sea in the City has a nice selection although a bit small right now.
Ocean Blue is decent but I didn't think anything major
Seven Seas is pretty nice too but corals get picked over quick.
The Fishbowl is nice too plus they have a 3K gallon stingray pond you can feed with a huge puffer. His fish imo are the best and I always try to buy there first. Really nice guy. He also gets nice corals in but get picked over quickly.

PM me when you get to orlando and I can point you to a few places to meet fellow reefers.
