I've decided to downgrade my 125gal for space purposes since we have the new baby now. I think i'm going with a 29gal. I want to keep my pair of GSM's, lemonpeel angel, and royal gramma. Will that be too many fish? I can't tell.

I'm not happy having to get rid of my Achilles tang. I've had him for 4years now... :(

IMO keep either the Angel or the Clown Pair but not both.

yea i had a feeling the lemonpeel would be too much.

I don't think it's so much of a bio-load issue though. I think the Maroons have a strong chance of claiming the center of the tank. If they do that then the female would probably harass the Angel everytime it leaves the corners. I just don't think you would enjoy that type of interaction. Just my opinion though, stress in the fish just doesn't relax me. The Gramma will find a cave to call home and is fully capable of defending it so I'm not worried about the Gramma.

Yea thats what i meant too. the territory issue. even though the lemonpeel holds his own with the female GSM in the 125 i don't think it will be the same in a 29gal.

Hey guy you want an Achilles tang?

I would stick with the lemonpeel and the gramma. Maroons get so damn big. I used to have a pair for years in a 30. Never spawned. A week or two after I moved them to a 125 they spawned. That oughta tell ya something ;)

I agree, too much.
I'd keep the maroons since despite their size, they require less swimming space.

I've had the female 6 years now, she about 3-4". Do you think she'll grow anymore? They spawn pretty regularly, i hope that doesn't change.

Only 4"? Well maybe she's done growing. Mine was like 5-6" long. Huge beast.

Maybe you should just find homes for the fish and stick with smaller variants for the 29. Ocellaris/Percula for clown fish, maybe a damsel or chromis..

I was actaully thinking of that SFS, maybe going with 2 false percs. I'm not %100 percent sure yet.
