Easy to use, easy to keep in running condition, no moving/electrical parts, it's practically magic!

And you only have to run it once a week! :eek2:

This simple transparent device, when applied to usage by technique of siphoning, with a frequency of one time per week, benefits water held within our aquariums by way of particulate removal resulting in enhancement of clarity and lessoning of toxins ergo, providing our fish with a water quality more congruent to the ideal.

You know as well as I do, however, that such ideas being far too radical, will be subject to rebuke, and will not be accepted by the fish hobbiest's community; but you can still dream can't you? You can still dream...

. why do you do siphoning! dont you have a pump to pump water straight to the drain. and let me guess . you dont use premessured cups when mixing new saltwater. dosnt it get old checking salinity 20 times befor it is perfect :P

ultimit way to keep your tank clean, dont put anything in it :)

oh got ya...i dont have a sump, so i do it with the siphon, which is fine, since i have a crushed coral base and i like to lightly vacuum the surface. I dont mind the 5 minutes it takes to siphon off 5 gallons.

And as far as mixing new water, i use a 5 gal bucket with a powerhead. I add the salt to the circulating water and let sit overnight, and I use a measuring cup.

I siphon..big deal...You cant go by premeasured cups..IO says .5 cups to 1 gal..that is slightly off...I would measure salinity 20 times just to make sure things are good instead of going on a leap of faith.. (besides refractometers make measuring salinity a breeze!)

lord...good point too about the io....it says i think 1/2 cup per gallon for 1.022 salinity and being that i, and I assume you as well want to try to be around 1.25, I add a bit extra myslef. So pre-mixed aint gonna cut it anyway.
And again i agree...i tested my replacement water last night right after i made it, teste dit before bed, and tested it before i left for work today and ill test it again when i get home tonight before the change. Can't test anything too many times in my opinion

Do you think you could at least try and correct your spelling before you hit submit? Getting people to understand and agree with your ideas while spelling like a 4 year old dolt doesn't work.

<-- uses premeasured cups.. but ALWAYS CHECKS parameters after the water ages for at least 12 hrs. And I probably check it 20 times hehe.

Just for the record, there is no such thing as a "premeasured cup". They come in standard sizes. 1 cup, 1/2 cup, 1/3 cup and 1/4 cup and sometimes if your lucky, you can get a 1/8 cup.

You'd might want to premeasure "SALT" before mixing, tho.

Don't want some one running to the store looking for a premeasured cup!
