I now run my fuge lights at the same time as my main tank. I have been hearing alot about having them come on during the off tank time. Any ideas on the subject and also if I was to change the times how is the best way to do so. Do I have to slowly convert over or do I just convert all at once.

thanks for the advice in advance!

Running it opposite helps keep your pH from fluctuating so much.

In my case I found it also had the added benefit of evening out the temperature as well, at one point I tried to keep the fuge lights on when the tank lights were on, and my tank was getting a bit too hot from all the lights on at once.

You don't need to be gradual, you can make the change to your fuge lighting right away.

I run an overlapping opposite cycle. Some pods only breed in total darkness. And as Laura pointed out it is supposed to keep your ph steadier and the heat issue is important.
