my lfs said he would only eat algae when I asked about this. Im new at saltwater so I dont know much...anyway the lfs said if he didnt eat the algea to put him in a bag and freeze him! I started to feed him frozen brine and he seems to be eating it......
<-- i have had a blenny like that.. still have him.. that does the same thing... ive had him for 6 mos and he goes through binges and purges i guess... ive NEVER seen him do anything but eat off the rocks.
That's great! Keep feeding him whatever he will eat, and try and mix some other frozen foods in with the brine to see if you can get him to eat more variety.
I found another one Ive only been there twice so Ill see if they're any good.
I was wondering if I should report the other fish store? They had a poor little clown fish in a coffee cup it was so disgusting it wasnt clean at all..and they also had 4 Boa Constricters (I may have spelled that wrong)
in a 10 gal. tank... BTW I didnt buy my blenny from this store.
if you make is a policy to not go back to all fish stores that treat stock badly or don't know anything, then you will have no fish stores to go to! 8O
I just don't go to the ones who fight me about fish and they have no clue what they are talking about.
my sailfin algea blenny (which is the same as a lawmower blenny) eats all the time and has never stoppped. He loves mysis! and spiralina flakes!
and if you are going ot feed your fish brine, make sure to melt the brine in zoa. otherwise, your blenny will still die- except with a full stomach. Brine is junk food, by melting it in zoa, atleast you are providing some vitamines
