Rolling zoos

I've got a ball of zoos that just will *not* anchor itself to anything.
I've had it in a small crevice and it expands fully and looks happy, but it hasn't anchored at all.
When I installed my skimmer, the extra flow blew it off the rock and it rolled down to the sand. Instead of being more flat, it now sort of pulled together into a tight ball. It's currently expanded and looking really good.

Is this normal??? And will it be ok to just let it wander the tank??

I would attach it to something so it doesn't blow under your rock or into something that would sting it.

Can you flatten the ball out and glue it too a rock?

I could try that, but when I flatten it out, there are always 2 or 3 polyps on the bottom side. Can you razor these guys apart? And what type of glue would be best?

Just flatten it out the best you cn and add a few drops of superglue gel and stick it to a rock. Hold it in place for about a minute. Don't worry about the guys underneath. Sacrificing a couple of polyps to save the whole colony is a beter idea.

Superglue gel - Duro and Loctite both are a much thicker consistency than the Krazy glue gel. That stuff sucks...Waaay to drippy.

If I were you I'd cut the ball in two halves and stick them in two different locations in the tank.
