Hey you guys and gals. I finaly came around to signing up on here. Nice to know i can be on a forum made for NYC.
Just a lil info on me. Born in The Bronx, raised in Queens. Went to Suny Cobleskill for Fish& Wildlife. Now im just workin and spending my paychecks on my little zoo at home. My two 13yr old cats, Argentina Tegu, 13" Snapping Turtle, Bruno the Rat, BullSnake, 8 month SugarGlider, Foster Hampsters, two Foster Pythons... ok enough.
Ive been into Reefing for about 4 yrs now. Starting on a 45g with like 6 different florescent lights. But was some how able to keep many corals very healthy(even sps) in a almost 3' high tank and only about 90w of light. So i kept intrest.
Now keeping a 125g AGA, two 175w 14k MH,some PC antinics just for the evening. Home made 20g Sump with a Bermuda BPS-3c, and another DIY 20g prop tank( 200w PC). All chilled with a $10 wall fan, and with a small AC(only when its going over 76degrees) my tank stays about 69- 74F.
umm... I keep Ich in my tank. i have always had it but my fish dont show signs. When they do its always due to some big time stress(power out maybe). 6" Desjardini tang, and 4" Brown Scopas showed signs of ich for one week and never showed again.
well enough ranting, hope to make some friends around here, maybe in the neighborhood. If you took the time to read this thanks, maybe you were as bored as i was.
