I got my stand/canopy today and they are gorgeous. Here's the potential problem. The top deck is made 52.2" x 28.2" .... pretty much the size of the tank. That's not a problem except the 12x4" cut out for the overflow is moved in one inch due to not being able to cut the rear supporting wood beam. So now when my tank comes, my conventional bulkheads might not fit because because the outer diamter is just a little bit too wide!

Are there any bulkheads with smaller outer diameters? Or any ideas how to circumvent this potential problem? It might not be an issue at all, but I can tell it will be a very tight fit if it does fit.

Can you just rout out a bit of wood where the circumference of the bulkhead doesn't fit?

Maybe. It might be a last resort, but it requires a lot of work I prefer not do (especially inside the house .... not about to lug the 150lb stand outside through the narrow doors again).

i think i agree with Matt, it will be easier to cut the wood now before the tank gets there, than to fit it all up and have the tank leak and then cut the wood. use the wet/dry vac. to clean as you cut
might save a lot of time

yep. Cut the wood, or call the tank guy and have him move the holes
