Thanks god someone came out with a cheap fluidized reactor with out thumb screws. I use the TLF phosban reactor on my 150 and hate changing the media b/c of all those thumb screws.

I almost bought a new phosban reactor for my 40 untill I saw this one from Kent marine, its the same thing except it uses a twist lock flange.

Anyway thought it was a nice product and would pass this along.

Cool, we are in the market for a phosban reactor. Where did you pick up the Kent one from?

whats the purpose of these? how bad is your phospate to justify one of these or does it actually regulate a level of phospate. ( i was told some phospate isn't bad somewhere) if i have a 20 gallon planted fuge on a 90 display and i prune back my cheato once a month isn't that reducing phospate? i thought that was part of a fuge's purpose in life

thanks in advance

Sweeeeeeet! We just ordered one!

Thomas, there is lots of ways that phosphate can enter your tank, and many ways to remove it, this is just another tool. I have very very dirty tap water and despite the RO/DI I still suspect some gets in. Along with the fact that I run a calcium reactor and it is suspected that disolving Ca media can be a source as well.

Sounds like you have everything under control. I have a planted fuge but it is not doing enough for me right now.

I just like the "clean route". BB, no fuge, run phosban 24/7 changing it out every two weeks. I just use a few tablespoons worth at a time so it last a long time and easily keeps all P04 0.

I also run carbon and remove the detritus when I see it, usually every day or two.
