Algae on Acro

I just got a "discounted" acro colony for dirt cheap becasue it has about 1 inch of skeleton at the end of a branch with some red looking hair algae on it. Should I just nip off the dead part or scrub the algae off it?

Nip it off and reattach it to LR...dont waste the time cleaning the dead skeleton IMO..
