Last night I noticed a small pen tip sized point of light comeing from inside the tank. I looked closer and it's one of the small anemones. I got the anemone as a hitchhiker, it grew and budded into 3 little ones a few months ago. The point of light was coming from inside the mouth / anus. Has anyone ever seen this before? There was a cleaner shrimp hatching last night, maybe it's glowing to draw prey? Has this been documented? I was freaked out. only for a moment :)

It is certainly possible although I've never heard of it before. Grab a camera. At least take a pic of the anemone itself so it can be ID'd.

okay... it's not coming from outside the tank and the light is too dim for camera and I wasn't dreaming :) I did some research, in a book it says those are pest amemones called devil's palgue. When the anemone came it me it hitchhiked on some caulerpa, looked like a little bulb anemone at the time, about the size of a dime. It grew to be about 3 inches across then budded into 3, now about 1.5 inch each, they are sitting side by side. I guess they know their own flesh and are not stinging eachother. So... what do you guys think? Should I keep these?
