Living room. Years ago I had freshwater tanks in my bedroom (the filtration (Eheim) was so quiet). Saltwater, forgedaboudit.

I can't put one in my bedroom because I am so freakin rough in bed it would get broken.

This statement just scares me.

The visual I got scared me.

To get back on topic, two in the office, two in the living room, rescued betta in the kitchen and two grow out tanks for freshwater fish in the basement, currently empty.

I'd like one in the bedroom because I used to have one and I also like the "white noise" effect but haven't got room. Hmm, maybe another nano ;).

I keep my tanks in the basement. I had a 50 gallon leak out and I was so glad it happened in the basement. However I have kept small tanks(20 -29 gallon) in the main living room.

What is so scary about a 270 lb man swinging around the room on a love chair screaming out "oh my god do it to me like that"?????

we all put our pants on differently Bry. Just because you need hardware and crisco to get yours on in the morning is no reason to scream at them.

I do not know what to call the room my tank is in. The previous owners of the house used the room as a formal dining room. We use it as the kids play room/Mark's tank room.

OMG I need to scrub my eyes with bleach to try and get rid of that visual!!

I've got a 25gal in a corner of our LR, my 10gal nano project next to my computer in the den, and a 15gal in our bedroom. My g/f and I love the gentle sound of water from the filter..very peaceful.

We had a tank in the bedroom years ago. It was loud and added too much humidity to the room. We now have one in the living room and one in the office. My husband would probably like one of the tanks in the bedroom again, but since I am the tank master (except for water changes, plumbing jobs and all heavy lifting) I win.

B.

Ours is also the most expensive decoration, although we looked into getting curtains put up in our 2 story living room and they quoted us almost $9000.00 My tank looks cheap compared to that :)

EDIT: Oh yeah, Living Room near a window, but light never directly hits the tank :)

The only place I think that I will not set up another reef tank is the entranceway to a house. I had one right inside the front door once, and every time you get food delivered the delivery guy wants to come in and see it.

And then they get hypnotized by the pulsing xenia and don't hurry on along.

So that is what you tell Pit Pat when he asks why the delivery man was there for so long huh? Good excuse, I will have to tell my wife to start using that one
