Upgrading to a 150gal. Need advice please.

I'm new to saltwater and I'm upgrading from my 55gal to a 150gal. Just wanting advice on the safest way to do the upgrade as to not loose any livestock. 95 gallons is a lot of uncycled water.

Do I need to set up the 150 and let it go through a cycle before I make the switch of my livestock?

Do I use all the sand I have in the 55 or do I just use new sand and seed it with a little of my old? My 55 has only been up and running since July.

First of all, the water doesn't cycle, the substrate in the tank does.
Secondly, in your particular situation, yes set up the 150 first and get it stable, THEN move the livestock from the 55.
