Well seeing that my tank is in a condition to start over I am considering makeing a new stand and hood. Stand will be 2" taller than my current stand and a bit wider and longer than the tank. New stand will be 3'-2" and the top of the tank will be at 5'-2"Will give me room to put a 20g sump and other stuff. I am also planning on making the hood 2 inches shorter. I had to drop the light a bit to get what I wanted. Here is my design so far.

Looking good, Wazz. What else are you planning to put in the sump that would require the additional width?

In the sump I will be using my ER CS5-2 skimmer. Under the stand will also hold the panworld HD 40 return pump, sequence closed loop pump, and a kalk stirer that I plan to build. I am not happy with the cramped quarters in the current stand. Also the 10g just barily had enough volume to hold the tank drain during a power outage. A 20 would not fit under my current stand.
