Well, it happened. I brought a nice green one home yesterday. I left town for a bit today and returned to find my beautiful yellow tang caught. I was worried it might happen after bringing it home and seeing the size of it in my tank. I was actually going to return it on Monday. I will still return it, but too late for my tang. I really feel like SH*&. You'd think after 8+ years I should know better, and I did, but the store was closed until Monday, not really much I could do. Well, I'm going to go cry and slap myself some more.

The anemone's happy though now right? Basic nature though, although yes you could have prevented it, it occurs thousands of times out in the real ocean everyday, so don't beat yourself up too bad, just a bloody nose and a missing tooth or two should suffice. Remember, carpet anemone's are very difficult to keep alive, good luck with yours.

Oh Yeah, he's happy alright. I will probably take him back on Tuesday when the LFS opens back up. I've decided keeping him for one fishes pleasure isn't worth the risk of the other fish. I just got used to purchasing for a larger aquarium. I had a 135 and now I've got a 70. This might have been prevented if the tang hadn't had to swim so close to it. I'll keep that in mind on my next purchases.

I have a huge green carpet in my 230 and have had a few small gobies go "missing" that I am sure have ended up food for this guy. My Sebea clowns would be heartbroken if I took it out though. I have not been able to keep other anemones alive with this guy in the tank though (have tried a LTA and a RBTA). Do you think it could be some kind of anemone war?
