Size of acrylic needed for 15gal tank for Carlson Surge

More than enough. You could contruct a 40 gallon from 1/4".

Hey Earnie, have you built/used a Carlson before? The only reason I ask is because I have, and I couldn't stand the noise, bubbles, and salt spray from these surge devices. I just want to make sure what you're getting into There's another surge device (I think it's referred to as Bourneman's surge device) that uses a toilet flapper instead. It's suppose to be quieter and less bubble-prone. But personally, the hi-tech solutions like waveboxs and impeller pumps (streams, vortech, etc.) are more attractive options for me.
