I got one from these guys and after running it for about a month I wasn't getting 0tds. So I emailed them and they sent me new filters including new DI filters. I have been happy with mine and havn't had any problems. I hooked mine up in the laundry room so I could use the waste water for washing clothes.

Why bother with ebay when a great place like Buckeyefields exists and has great products for less money.

I bought their 75GPD unit and love it.

That have great customer support too!

And they will be there when you need refills later.

Just whatever you buy, stick to 75gpd or less, the larger membranes give you more capacity at the expense of allowing more waste through, something like 98% rejection for 75gpd and lower, and 90% rejection for 100gpd ones.

Do you need the holding tank or is that not neccesary? Where do you have your water go to? If it goes to the sump directly do you use a float switch?

What I would do, space permitting, is to have a water container (doesn't have to be enclosed ( a bucket or whatever) with a little pump hooked to a float switch in your sump. This way you have a limited amount of water should something go wrong, if you just hook directly to the RO supply you literally have an infinite supply of water should something go wrong.

I got my RO/DI from ebay for about $100 including a 3 gal tank (6 stage = 3 sediments + 1 RO + 1DI + 1 for taste). I also got a $25 TDS unit. The seller was aquasafe canada. I am very happy with the unit. After one year I changed the sediment filters and it's working great (still 0-1 TDS after DI, 5-7 before).

I really didn't see anything cheaper anywhere else (although filterdirect on ebay has similar prices).

I've bought 3 units off ebay. I don't know how they do it but you can get an entire unit for about the same price as the replacement membranes most places.

I'm happy with mine. I have cannabilized most of them and have a zillion housings now. I need to figure out something to do with all the extra housings.

How can you find out how much PSI is in your water liines? There is a graph that depicts PSI to rejection percentage and if you have under 100 psi you are experiencing great drop off in rejection. Is that a common problem and if so how can you check it or boost it?

lmao becarful with ebay, i heard of one guy who bought his and slowed the flow output on the restrictor.. so the guy voided warrentee...
hate to say it but that is how ALL ro units used to work only 1 input and 1 output no waste line. waste lines are there as a constant minimal flushing system
