I need a little help from all of you.

How do I start a siphon on an overflow box?

I've got the water level in the tank set to feed it but have no idea how to start the siphon. It has a little plastic nipple on top with some airline tubing so I assume that is how you do it. But of course I have no clue how.

Lastly, any tips and or tricks that you've learned starting up a sump system for the first time?

Run some airline tubing into to the top point of the overflow tube. Suck the air out/water in with your mouth. Once you get the water flowing, pull the airline out. Water should continue to flow.

I have only done this with the U-shaped overflow tubes. But the principles of a siphon should work the same for your unit.
