Visiting Manhattan

Greetings from Toronto, Canada! I will be visiting New York, Manhattan towards the end of July, and would like to know if there are any marine stores in the area. Also, was also planning to visit the New York Aqaurium. Is this a good one, or is there better?

Looking to buy some Metal Halide bulbs for a good price.

If you want to see a world class 20,000 gallon full blown reef, you MUST go to Atlantis Marine World in Riverhead Long Island. You'll be blown away.

What kind of MH bulbs are you looking for? SE, DE, wattage, color temp?

If you are going to just window shop you could go to new world aquarium in Manhattan But if you are going to buy you may have some trouble clearing customs with livestock. Also check the Reef Database at the top of the screen there are a ton of stores listed there.

In Manhattan is New world Aquarium on 38th street and off 3rd ave.

You would pick up the LI railroad from Grand Central Station. It'll take no more than 15 minutes to get there from Times Square.

Actually Penn Station is where you pick up the LIRR. If you want a nice walk, you can walk from times square south on broadway to 34th street and see all the nice sights and sounds then take a walk over to 34th and 8th and you will see Madison Square Garden which is also a landmark, when you are dont there Penn and the LIRR are underneath MSG.
