powerhead placement?

where should you position powerheads?

I ask because I had an idea, but I'm not sure its a good one.
at a lfs one of the display tanks had its rock stacked around a milk crate.
which gave me the idea to possibly cut down a milk crate, or build some similar structure, and mount my powerheads to it. so when I stacked my rock they would be hidden.

but I'm not sure if this would work well or not.

No reason you can't do something like that.

They would be hard to clean though, and most of them need cleaning once in a while.

I made a long bracket to hang one of mine off of because I wanted it lower in the tank.

Same dilema here. I have tried super glue and old floppy discs...small peices of tubing...bits of styrofoam...old socks...dont ask..I still havent found a way to hide them that "looks" right.

Been thinking of making a "garf" rock hollowed out just to put the powerheads in.
