10K bulbs.....XM or Ushio?

Why one and not the other?

I went with XM for two reasons: cheaper and more PAR per Sanjay's AAOLM articles. If i don't like them, I'll go back to Ushio.

Marine Depot has Ushios $0.99 less than XM. I am just looking for opinions.

Never tried the Ushios, but I like my XM.

I run mine on an electronic ballast no problems. Coralview 250 watt.

I have icecaps.... i wonder if there is any difference?

I also like the XM bulbs. Using a 14K..Really like the blue look it gives. Also run it on a electronic ballast.

Is there suppose to be an issue with XM and Icecaps? Mine works fine, but it's also new so I don't know about long term effects.
