I have trouble with nitrate test kits in the past suddenly giving me false readings. What does everyone here use? Thanks!

yeah i was looking at those. . . i know they have good test kits for everything else. . . didn't know if there was something cheaper that would still be reliable. . . since i'm not trying to maintain a certain level i just need to make sure its still at zero. . . figured you may not need the rolls royce test kits. . . if you do then so be it!

to be honest, I started my first tank with the Hagen "master kit" for FW and SW. It showed my zero levels, but it wasnt good for tight measurements...I would not use them again unless you KNEW you were doing redundant tests and expecting to see zero readings...

I use salifert however I haven't had nitrates since a month after I started so I rarely ever test. I think the last time was 3 months ago.

SALIFERT! SALIFERT! SALIFERT! More expensive but great!

They are the only one that has the truest reading.

Hach.

Most expensive, but wicked accurate. You can litterally tell the diference between nitrates of 3 and 4.
