400w halide for color/mixed tank

What's everyone running these days?

My current bulbs are all pretty old, at least 18 months, I need to replace them

I've ran iwasaki's, coraldeaths, radium, XM, hamilton


not sure which are the best out right now for color/growth

I'm not running vho, 2 tanks each with single 400w cap/coil setups


recomendations?

I'm thinking 12,000k sunburst or 15,000k XM


I found the 20kk radiums just a little too blue for my taste, not much, just a little, growth also stunted under them compared to lower k for me

I am using the 15K XM's on my 300G without any VHO.

The knock on the 15K XM's is the amount of par that you get out of them compared to say a 10K.

400 W's is a ton of light either way.

I like the look of them.

This is my first 400W bulb and I no doubt will try others before deciding what I like the best. I'll probably even add actinics before before its all over.

i run 3x 400 radium on our 140 and love it. i do not run any actinic.
the radium is not nearly as blue as some of the otehr 20k bulbs sold.
gives me good growth and great color.

I tried radiums before, but found them too blue for my taste

also had horrible growth with them, but I was switching from iwasaki to radium, so that's expected
