Is there anything else I can put in there? It is an 80G TOWLR. (Trigger only with live rock)

I'm guessing I'll get a "No" for an answer, but figured I'd try.

I know urchins, starfish, and snails are out. Are there any types of crabs, or anything with a tough shell that he can't kill?

It would be nice to have something in there to stir up the substrate and maybe eat a little algae.

Forget it. You're talking about the meanest, most aggressive fish available in the trade, IMHO. They are a solitary-fish-only entity. :)

They are able to pulverize any shell, so all gastropods and crustaceans are out.

What are you currently feeding it? Triggers usually eat like pigs. Try feeding fresh, chopped up seafood. They may also eat frozen mysis (thawed of course) or krill.

When I had my undulate (about 5") he literally ate *everything*. I'd intentionally feed him some pizza, chicken fingers, macaroni & cheese, bacon, hamburger, etc...just to see if he'd eat it and still be living the next week. Not entirely that food, mind you, but a little piece of whatever I was having for dinner at the time. He took it all in stride and became even angrier when I didn't give him a 'treat.' As for his regular diet: krill, prawn, shrimp, squid, clam, beefheart, and the occasional damsel to give him some exercise.

Peace,

Chip

I think I'd throw a BIG Harlequin Tusk in there as a companion, he's probably lonely you know.

Don't do it. The tusk will not stand a chance. I've seen an undulate around 4" even take out a queen trigger about 4" larger than it.

They are not to be messed with.

Peace,

Chip
