Laurent, between the H&S and the BK, I'd take the BK every time if price wasn't an issue. If you're considering H&S and live in the US, I recommend you also consider the Euroreef (which IMO is more comparable then BK). Aquabees are okay needle-wheel pumps, but they don't compare to Eheim or Red Dragon.
Not without hacking the acrylic body. It's not without significant risk. I'm also not sure who sells the Eheim w/needle wheel seperately. FWIW, the Euroreef is one fine skimmer. Most of what we're arguing about is academic, wringing more performance out of a system that will usually be more then plenty in any setup.
I was just pondering. if it was an easy enough gig, why add another sedra pump, when u have better options... I wouldnt dare try it dow anyway... I am just getting the hang of a bulk hand tools!!
Aquabee are German made also high quality pumps. If you can get both Eheim or Aquabee you will see there is no diference in craftams work neither in application practice.
Regrading to a skimer, BK is realy more expensive but it use only one pump that suck an 1000l/h air and waste only 40 wats per hour, comparable to needed 3x38 w Aqubee on the H&S. Maybe for long distance those 80 wats per hour will pay them self.
Also it is good idea to check the link below for the new build dispergator for Red Dragons and how they are build http://www.royal-exclusiv.de/forum/...tyleid=1&sid=30c081eea2f567a89b64518148f0a879
