I am debating reaquascaping my tank, but I am wondering if there are any pros and cons to it that I haven't considered. I had a portion of the rock shift a month or so ago and so the tank doesn't look as good to me as it did before the shift. I know I will have to remove the corals to do so, but are there any recycle issues as long as no LR comes out of the tank? Whats your thoughts?

I think it looks good as is. The LR won't need recycling even if it's outa the water for a short period of time... just so long as it's kept damp/wet. Just do yourself a favor and scrape some of that flippin coraline off the back glass 8O

I would do a water change immediately after the reaquascape.

Not that a WC will be necessary, but the water will likely be real messy, so it would be a good time to do a very effective WC. You'll get some of the nasties out of the tank while your at it.

I think It looks good also. I've been slowly replacing my smaller pieces with larger pieces. To me the big rocks look more natural. your sand bed looks a little deep try not to stir it up in the process.

The surgery was a success!!! Not a single unitentional fragging. I will post pics once the waters clear a bit. Not a radical change as I liked the previous setup, but moved it all a bit back more and added 2 caves, and three overhangs.

Here is the new. Like I said it is subtle differences that are probably hard to see from a picture. There is 2 new caves and 3 new overhangs, and the front is much more open while still allowing room behind the rocks to swim.

What I really want to do with my next tank is have like two islands of rocks with a channel in the middle. I think that would be neat, but just no room for that in a 46 g BF.

I agree, that look is awesome IMO, but I don't think I even have enough room in my 4' 75g to pull it off successfully. :(
